I have been I am… trying my hardest to turn to God fully and TRUST. DH has been praying for us all non-stop and at times something in me almost wants to push him away. I’ve had days when I feel so discouraged. But I have to remain focused on God and His promises, not on my circumstances.
While pondering through our bookshelves I came across a book I read a while back called
Calm My Anxious Heart: A Woman’s Guide to Finding Contentment. DH and I have been reading it together each evening. Last night we read the Chapter titled, “Trusting God with the What If’s”.
Although I don’t agree with everything in this book (like it’s advice to expect the worst)… it has great points to inspire faith. And this was just what I needed. I was reminded of three very important things.
- Let go and TRUST in Him
- Keep my eyes focused on Him, Not my circumstances
- God does NOT need my help!
I knew that having a child would bring me closer to God…I just didn’t know how soon my growth would begin. My faith and trust are growing stronger than ever. Now we are moving forward in full faith, trusting God. We’ve decided to setup our birthing pool. It feels good to put action behind our faith.
12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. 13 You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. 14 Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!
