I am BACK!

I'm back, from postpartum depression

#backintheworldOh my goodness! It has been ages since I’ve posted here. So much has happened over the past year. I have had the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. I have truly evolved, transformed, morphed (what ever you’d like to call it)  into a new woman. From this point forward my posts on Vainmommy will reflect that.

As you all may know I been dealing with Postpartum Depression and Anxiety (PPD/PPA) since A was born in January of 2013. I had several months were I felt great but, a few weeks ago I hit a rough patch. There’s nothing like believing you are out of the woods only to realize there’s still lots of ground to be covered.  After seeing a new doctor and with medication adjustment I’m feeling better.

I’ve recently began raising funds for Postpartum Progress Inc. through an event called Climb Out of the Darkness, THE WORLD’S largest event raising awareness of maternal illness like postpartum depression. Struggling from PPD/PPA myself, I am honored; ecstatic; over the moon happy to have the opportunity to help moms have access to the help, support and resources WE need!

I never expected that being involve in a fundraiser, (asking and sometimes shamelessly begging people to give me their money for goodness sake)  would add such a vital spark
to my life… To my existence! I feel alive I feel that FINALLY I am doing
something that matters (aside from being a wife and mom). I read somewhere that
a life lived for others is a life worth living, and for me; It. Is. THE. Truth!

With the help of the amazing people in my life I’ve raised nearly $1500! Warrior moms (families and friends) have collectively raised over $100,000! This is only the second year of Climb Out of the Darkness. I’m excited for the future.

See that piece of paper I’m holding that reads ‘I’m back’. That let’s all you moms out there that may be suffering right this minute know that You will get BACK to your old self… Or in some cases (like my own) you will be better than the old you!

I’m honored to be able to raise awareness and money for an organization that helps assist women get BACK in the world!

If you would like to help please donate here!

Don’t lose hope, don’t lose faith, hold on there’s help out there for you mama!

I’m back! Hear me ROAR!!
